See the work before you call
WorkLink is a directory of Australian tradespeople. Browse electricians, plumbers, builders and more in your area, look through photos of jobs they've actually done, then get in touch with them yourself. Nothing is booked or paid through WorkLink — the work, the timing and the price are between you and them.
Why we built it
Finding a good tradie still comes down to luck. You ask the group chat, you ring three numbers, two never call back, and you end up choosing someone based on almost nothing. Most of the time you don't see a single example of their work until they're standing in your kitchen.
The websites meant to fix this often make it worse. Some sell your details on to whoever's buying. Some charge tradespeople for every enquiry, so the good ones stop bothering. Some rank whoever paid the most that month, which tells you nothing about who's any good at the job.
We thought it should be simpler than that. See the work, then call the person.
If you're looking for a tradesperson
You don't need an account to browse or to get in touch. An account is only useful if you want to save someone for later, or list your own business.

Search your trade and your suburb
Explore shows tradespeople who work in that trade near you.

Look at their work
Open a profile and go through the photos of jobs they've done. This is the part worth spending time on — you're looking for work that resembles the job you've actually got.

Check the price and how far they travel
If they've published pricing, you'll see it: a call-out fee, an hourly rate, a day rate, or a typical range. Treat it as a guide rather than a quote, and confirm it when you speak to them. Their profile also shows how far they'll travel, so you're not calling someone from the other side of the city.

Call or email them
Tap to see their phone number or email, and contact them directly. We don't get in the middle, and we don't message them on your behalf.
If you're a tradesperson
Your work is the best advertising you've got, and most tradies have nowhere good to put it. A WorkLink profile is somewhere to show the jobs you're proud of, so people can see what you can do before they ring.
A profile can include:
- Photos of jobs you've done
- A description of the work you take on
- Your pricing, if you want to publish it
- The suburbs you cover and how far you travel
- Your phone number and email, if you want people using them
Listing is free, and we'll never sell your enquiries or charge you per lead. When someone calls you, that's between you and them.
What it costs
No plan buys you a higher position in search results, and no plan buys you a badge. A free listing is a real listing.
Free. One listing and a public profile. People nearby can find you and get in touch.
Pro — $29 a month. Up to three listings, your business logo beside your name, and video on your listings.
Premium and Business aren't available yet.
What we check, and what we don't
You're about to invite a stranger into your home, so it's worth knowing exactly what we've looked at.
Identity, if the tradesperson chooses it. They can verify themselves with government photo ID through Stripe Identity. We keep the result, not a copy of the document. The badge means that check happened — nothing more. It isn't a recommendation, it can't be bought, and plenty of good tradespeople won't have one.
An ABN, if they've added one. We check the number is properly formed. We don't look it up on the Australian Business Register, so we can't tell you the business is active or that the name matches.
The listing itself. We read most listings before they go live. That's a look at the words and the photos, so empty or misleading pages don't sit in the directory. It isn't a check of their work.
What we don't check: licences, insurance, council permits, or the quality of anyone's work. Some trades legally require a licence, and we're no substitute for that. Before anyone starts, ask for their licence number, ask for proof of insurance, and get the quote in writing.
On reviews: most profiles say “No reviews yet”. Because jobs are arranged directly between you and the tradesperson, we've got no record of the work happening, so there's nothing for us to count. We'd rather show nothing than a score we invented.
What we're hoping to build
We're early, and we'd rather tell you what we're aiming at than pretend we're already there.
We want WorkLink to be somewhere a tradesperson is genuinely proud to send a customer. We want it to be the first place people look when something breaks. And we want real coverage across more suburbs, so there's always someone nearby worth calling.
None of that is true yet just because we'd like it to be. It happens as tradespeople put their work up, and as people use the directory to decide who to ring.
